Installation
==========================================================================
This version of the Eiconcard Development Suite features a new install
program designed to run under any version of Windows. The install program
allows you to view documentation, courseware, or install the different
Eiconcard Development Tools.
To start the install program, run AUTORUN.EXE located in the root of the
Eiconcard Development Suite CD-ROM.
This install program only works under the various Windows platforms. For
UNIX and Linux installation information, refer to the appropriate section
below.
Information for Windows users who want to manually install the various
Eiconcard Development Tools is also available here.
Eiconcard X.25 Development Tools
==========================================================================
This release of the Eiconcard Development Suite includes an X.25 Library
for the following operating systems: UNIX (SCO OpenServer(r) and
UnixWare(r)), Linux(r) (Red Hat and SuSe), and Win32 (Windows(r) 98/Me,
Windows NT(r) 4.0, and Windows 2000/XP).
These Development Tools provide developers with a 'C' programming
interface to the X.25 protocol provided by the Eiconcard communication
adapter.
To install and use the Eiconcard X.25 Development Tools, refer to the
"Installation" section above, or consult the README.TXT file located in
the following directories:

ECTester Application

The Eiconcard X.25 Development Tools includes an Eiconcard testing
application that checks if your Eiconcard is correctly installed and
configured, by allowing the user to perform three different tests.
- Test the connection to an X.25 network
- Test a back-to-back X.25 connection
- Test the HDLC link level for a specific port
To use ECTester, refer to the Readme.txt file in the Utilities\ECTester
directory under the appropriate platform (e.g. X25\Win32\Utilities\ECTester)
that you are using.
Online Documentation
--------------------
A user's guide, for function description and other specific development
information to use the X.25 library, is available in two different
formats; Windows help format (Ex25.hlp)and in HTML format (index.htm).
On the Windows platform, all documentation can be viewed from the
Eiconcard Development Suite Install program. Refer to the "Installation
section, above, for more information.
These files are located on the Eiconcard Development Suite CD, in the

If you are using a Windows system, these tools can be accessed through the
Eiconcard Development Suite Installation program. Refer to the

Eiconcard X.25 Winsock Service Provider
==========================================================================
The Eiconcard Development Suite includes the Eiconcard X.25 Winsock
Service Provider for Windows systems. WinSock is a Microsoft API that
allows Windows applications to interact with TCP/IP protocols. There are
also ongoing developments to support other protocols (such as X.25) through
the WinSock interface.
The Winsock directory of the Eiconcard Development Suite includes a
setup.exe file which contains a sample and help file. Please refer to the
Readme.txt file in the Winsock directory for complete information.
These tools can also be installed through the Eiconcard Development Suite
Installation program. Refer to the "Installation" section above,
for more information.
Frame Relay Development (Interface Specification)
==========================================================================
The Eiconcard Development Suite contains all the tools and information
necessary to develop a Frame Relay Interface application that uses

Ищется программа-тест платы Eicon
Для проверки правильности установки драйвера адаптера Eicon у нас используется утилита eccard.exe из папки C:\Windows\System32\Eicon со следующими ключами:
stop (остановка карты)
start (запуск карты).
status (выводит на экран информацию о текущем состоянии драйвера, конфигурации настроек карты Eicon и состояние ее внутренней памяти).
Также есть утилита ecadmin.exe (Eicon Configuration), при помощи которой возможно осуществлять настройку дополнительных параметров сетевого адаптера Eicon.
Все вышеприведенное применялось на eicon C91 v2
stop (остановка карты)
start (запуск карты).
status (выводит на экран информацию о текущем состоянии драйвера, конфигурации настроек карты Eicon и состояние ее внутренней памяти).
