Requirements from NCR to upgrade OS to Win7:

-Minimum Requirements
Talladega, Kingsway or Pocono motherboard or later (Pocono motherboard will be the replacement for Talladega)
Celeron or Core2 Duo processors, or better, on the above motherboards
2GB RAM (4GB preferred)
DVD Drive (if installing from optical media)

-All SelfServ units are either Windows 7 ready or easily upgradeable
Processor, RAM and Motherboard upgrade kits are available
-“Late model” Personas units can usually be upgraded
Some devices are not Windows 7 compatible regardless of ATM model
Careful auditing is needed

I've tested Win 7 Pro on a PIVOT PC Core with 2 GB of RAM using a cloned disk image from a Talladega PC Core. It's working fine, it detects and install all Miscellaneous, like Card Reader, motherboard, receipt printer and cash dispenser unit without problems. The problem is with sound board, wich is not detected, but i've managed to make it work using a generic driver, and now i have no problem.
The "Real" problem is with Windows Activation. It requires a specific version of NCR BIOS from the mother board. On older (first and second generation) SelfServ ( 66xx ) ATM's, you need to do a BIOS upgrade. The Windows 7 Pro activation matrix is the only real problem on older PC core's, not the PC core itself.
This is why NCR is not selling anymore licenses for Windows 7 for Embedded Systems, witch activates on any PC Core as long as a license key is valid.
Solution? Use another license key, preferable a non NCR Windows Key, and all problems are gone. The downside of this is that you will loose any NCR support if hardware or software problems occurs.

mcrw i installed aptra 4.01 and the card reader is not present i did hook up a dip that works .

i did try 3 other mcrw's and had the same result.

my conclusion is that 4.01 does not support it any more
